Miami, FL - Belzona Inc., a leading provider of coatings and repair composites, is announcing two new power generation focused products, resulting from ongoing focus in this industry. These novel products, the Belzona5831 (ST-Barrier) and Belzona1831 (Super UW-Metal), were formulated to provide solutions primarily for prolonged prevention against corrosion under insulation.

Both Belzona5831 (ST-Barrier) and Belzona1831 (Super UW-Metal) are able to displace moisture and hydrocarbons from a substrate, which frees it for bonding. This allows both products to bond to substrates which cannot be dried or cleaned, such as leaking transformer flanges. This is an exciting innovation for the power industry, where corrosion is a common problem.

"Pull-off adhesion testing has revealed that these products are capable of developing over 2,000 PSI of adhesion to rough oily substrates," said Chris Lucas, Technical Service Manager for Belzona Inc. "This allows for the permanent repair of equipment which could not otherwise be addressed because it cannot be removed from service."
