Dow Coating Materials Introduces ProSperse 700 Series Polymers For Wood And Metal Coatings

  • New offerings address need for faster drying and greater durability in low-VOC coatings
  • Aqueous emulsion polymers are powered by DESIGNED DIFFUSION Technology

Philadelphia, PA - Dow Coating Materials (DCM), an operating business of The Dow Chemical Company, has introduced its new ProSperse 700 Series Aqueous Emulsion Polymers for factory- and field-applied coatings on metal, plastic, wood and cementitious substrates. The new offerings address market demand for durability and faster dry times in low-VOC coatings. Product is available for sampling.

The series includes ProSperse 755 Aqueous Emulsion Polymer for waterborne metal coatings and ProSperse 704 and ProSperse 707 Aqueous Emulsion Polymers for waterborne wood coatings. All three products are powered by DESIGNED DIFFUSION Technology, a patented Dow innovation that helps raise performance and lower VOC levels by accelerating the diffusion of coalescent. ProSperse 700 Series Polymers are low-VOC capable and offer excellent early hardness properties that can contribute to improved dirt pick-up resistance and block and print resistance.

ProSperse 700 Series Polymers also contribute to faster drying times, a key end-use property that contributes to higher productivity levels and lower production costs.
