New Corr-Paint CP2050 Protective Coating To 400°F Now Available

Valley Cottage, NY - Corr-Paint CP2050, a new high temperature protective coating developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to coat metal components and structures used in automotive and industrial applications to 400 ºF (204 ºC).

FEATURES

Corr-Paint CP2050 is a two part, 100% solids, epoxy-novolac, corrosion resistant system used to protect steel components and structures used in aircraft, automotive, chemical processing, foundry, and power generation plants for applications to 400 ºF (204 ºC).

Corr-Paint CP2050 provides excellent adhesion to marginally prepared metal surfaces and exceptional corrosion resistance. It is resistant to a wide range of chemicals including acetic acid, jet fuel, alcohols, diesel fuel, gasoline, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, toluene and xylene. It also provides good thermal shock, salt spray, and UV resistance. Corr-Paint CP2050 is a two-part system that is mixed in a 1-to-1 ratio by weight. It mixes to a thick paste and is applied using a trowel or spatula. It sets and cures fully at room temperature in 24 hours or can be heat cured at 175 oF for 4 hours to reduce set time. Typical film thickness is 50 mils for a single coat.

Corr-Paint CP2050 is offered in three standard forms: CP2050-LF, CP2050-FF and CP2050-NF. LF stands for long or coarse glass fibers; FF stands for fine glass fibers; and NF stands for no fibers.

Glass fibers are used to absorb thermal stresses and increase strength when coating large areas.
