Details

Amax Plating uses state-of-the-art equipment and process technology in all of our operations. This ensures that your product will be manufactured using processes that are highly capable and repeatable. The key to selective plating is to only expose the desired area to be plated to both the plating solution and the electric current. To accomplish this, we use a variety of techniques, many of which have been developed or improved by our Engineering Team.

CONTROLLED DEPTH PLATING
This is the simplest form of selective plating and is produced by submerging a controlled amount of the product to be plated into the plating solution.

STRIPE PLATING
The variety of stripe plating techniques we use allow us to selectively plate either one or many discrete stripes of material in defined zones on either one or both sides of a material. This process uses a mask to cover areas where plating is not required. Both solid coil stock and stamped contacts can be plated with this process.

BRUSH PLATING
This processing technique allows for one side selective plating on formed or flat areas of a product. The selectivity of this process is impacted by the configuration of the product being plated.

SPOT PLATING
When a plated material is only required in a very defined zone on a product, spot plating may be used. This process uses a part specific mask to expose only the desired areas of the product to the plating solution. Spots as small as 0.032 diameter can be plated, as well as multiple spots on the same part. The configuration of the spot can be almost any configuration a product may require.
