The Model 7 Blast Cabinet now comes equipped with a convenient transfer cart option that reduces the risk of injuries from handling of large or heavy components during cleaning, finishing, and surface preparation operations.

The easy-rolling cart is designed to simplify transfer, loading, and unloading of parts that are too weighty or awkward for one or two people to safely place in the blast machine by hand. It has ball bearing wheels, two of which are mounted on swivels to make it maneuverable. Components trolley in and out of the blast cabinet on a turntable deck with casters that glide on track rails. If needed, a power-jog turntable is available.

Available with suction-blast or direct pressure media delivery (depending upon the requirements of individual applications), the cabinet features access with a side door in addition to its dual opening front doors. Overall installation dimensions of the standard Model 7 are roughly 72 × 63 × 38 in.

Other features include:

  • a footswitch control that activates blasting
  • the nozzle, which can be directed manually or rigidly fixtured on a universally adjustable bracket
  • an extra-wide safety glass window
  • brilliant illumination of the cabinet interior allow for high visibility
  • an airwash nozzle to clean dust and media particles from the part when blasting is finished

The blast cabinet is fabricated in continuously welded steel plate to withstand years of industrial use, has double-skinned doors that seal tightly and resist warping and leakage, and has a safety interlock switch that prevents blast operation unless the cabinet doors are completely closed.

The system can use any type of shot or grit blast media to perform surface treatment applications such as deflashing, deburring, descaling, surface preparation and cosmetic finishing.
