BUFCA Announces New Spray Foam Website

The website covers all things SPF, from product benefits to applications.

The British Urethane Foam Contractors Association (BUFCA) has launched a new website that provides information and best SPF practices. The website will address both spray-applied and injected polyurethane foam, and highlight their benefits, installations, and the certifications that homeowners and business owners should demand from their installers.

The website facilitates connections with BUFCA's national trade association network of spray foam installers. These installers are backed by BUFCA to ensure that quality SPF installations are carried out, and to provide technical expertise to ascertain the most suitable solution. Through membership, homeowners and business owners can arrange for a 25-year insurance-backed warranty for wall cavity projects when choosing a BUFCA installer.

Among the different features of the website, one of its major advantages is that it helps potential SPF customers and contractors to meet the requirements of two regulations that call for thermal insulation, the lowering of carbon emissions, and the reduction of energy consumption. BUFCA's website promotes SPF as the best solution to be compliant with these newly adapted regulations.

The website also aims to promote spray foam's role in retrofitting existing properties to the highest standard of thermal performance, even for those hard-to-heat properties that are difficult to insulate with materials such as fiberglass or cellulose. The website also contains information about spray foam's benefits when it comes to flood threat, where closed-cell spray foam creates an extra layer of protection when water tries to get through the outer walls.
