The MILLENIUM KR is an electroless nickel process that incorporates boron nitride as occluded particles in a low phosphorous nickel matrix. The charged particles are co-deposited on any wetted surface much like electroless nickel/PTFE processes.
MILLENIUM KR deposits have an as-plated hardness of 700VHN. Unlike EN/PTFE, it can be heat-treated up to 1000 VHN. In addition, this process offers such benefits as a plating rate in excess of 0.6 mils/hr and consistent particle occlusion up to 10 metal turnovers.
