A successor to the manufacturer's DMS V3 system, which runs on DOS, MMI 2.0 is a process monitoring system that automates a facility's manufacturing process and monitors plating quality. The new system now supports Windows NT 4.0, with enhanced user interface and capability.

This real-time system reads data from the PLC in the background, and can access the PLC via a variety of channels, such as Ethernet and RS-232. In addition, it supports a broad range of PLCs including Allen Bradley, Omron, and Honeywell.

After data is retrieved and analyzed, this system displays information pertinent to the machine and the process in graphical form, allowing users to assess bath temperatures, chemical consumption, rectifier outputs, flightbar locations, and transporter status at a glance.

According to the manufacturer, the system is tightly integrated with the control system so that the plating process can be optimized. This integration also enables the system to access and control almost all side control side equipment in the line.
