The manufacturer states that the process provides a uniform, bright silver cosmetic appearance, and has a high corrosion resistance compared to alloys less than 10% white rust after 360 hours of neutral salt spray and is well suited for use in barrel and rack applications. The coating contains no hexavalent chrome and is automotive approved.
