BRM power brushes are available in many different types and sizes, and feature brush filaments made of brass, carbon steel, stainless steel, nylon, abrasive nylon, or natural fiber (Tampico) for burr removal, surface prep, and surface improvement.

Los Angeles, CA (USA) (PRWEB) - Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM), maker of flexible hones and industrial brushes, is announcing a wide selection of wheel brushes for blending, cleaning, deburring, polishing, and surface preparation. BRM’s wheel-shaped power brushes are available in a variety of sizes, filament materials, and types for light-duty to super-heavy duty applications.

BRM supplies knotted and crimped wire, abrasive nylon, nylon, and Tampico wheel brushes. The American-owned, ISO-certified company also provides mandrel-mounted wheels with integral shafts or shanks that eliminate the need for a separate adaptor. Mandrel mounted wheel brushes have either steel or abrasive nylon brush filaments, and are great for shoulders, undercuts, and hard-to-reach areas.

Wire Wheels
Knotted wire wheel brushes are durable, flexible brushing tools that provide heavy-duty brushing action. Designed for aggressive cutting and cleaning applications, these power brushes have tufts that reduce fatigue by absorbing vibrations. BRM supplies knotted wire wheels with either standard or cable twists in medium and wide face sizes. Stringer bead brushes with a very narrow face are also available.

Crimped wire wheel brushes are made of oil-tempered, crimped metal wire and used in applications ranging from light deburring and pipe cleaning to edge blending and rust removal. Fast and efficient, crimped wire wheels provide a uniform brushing action and can have brass, carbon steel, or stainless steel filaments.

Nylon Abrasive Wheels
Abrasive nylon wheel brushes offer a safe, non-reactive alternative to wire brushes. They feature flexible nylon filaments with aluminum oxide (AO) or silicon carbide (SC) abrasives in a wide range of grits. These BRM power brushes are suitable for use with most pedestal grinders, and remove burrs and improve finish without disturbing the underlying surface.

Nylon Wheels
Nylon wheel brushes are designed for light-duty deburring, cleaning, polishing, and surface finishing applications. Made with high-quality 6-12 nylon filaments, they offer abrasive resistance, excellent fatigue life, and chemical resistance to most solvents. Nylon wheels can be used dry or with a lubricant, and are available in a variety of diameters for controlled brushing action.

Tampico Wheels
Tampico wheel brushes feature tough, oil and heat resistant filaments derived from a cactus plant that grows in northern Mexico. These natural fiber wheels are designed for wet or dry applications, including polishing chrome and deburring decorative surfaces. For tough applications, Tampico power brushes are often used with a grease-type abrasive stick or polishing compounds.
