Who is Adsil?

ADSIL LC is a private chemical research and development firm based in Palm Coast, Florida. It was co-founded by ATC Glass inventor, Dr. John Schutt in 1997. The company's name, ADSIL, is derived from Dr. Schutt's patented chemical process called "anchored dendridic silica interactive linkages".

What is ATC glass?

Ambient Temperature Cure Glass (ATC Glass) is a patented in-organic coating that offers the combined benefits of low toxicity and high protection from most causes of corrosion. It is unique in the world because it is made from glass (silica) which is impervious to nearly all corrosives like salt, acids, and alkalis.

How does it work?

ADSIL in-organic coatings are chemically engineered to form a permanent bond with whatever surface it is applied. Termed Covalent Bonding, ADSIL works its way into minute gaps in the surface and even between molecules, as the illustrations below demonstrate.

Other Coatings do not chemically 'bond' with the treated surface. Degradation creates pockets of air allowing corrosives to build up under the coating.

ADSIL Coatings use covalent bonding to grip the surface like an atomic welder. ADSIL does not degrade, thus no pockets of air and no footholds for corrosion.

Where can it be used?

The application for ADSIL is extremely wide. Thanks to unique properties of covalent bonding, ADSIL coatings permanently adhere to most metals such as copper, aluminum, stainless and galvanized steel. It even works on painted metals and fiberglass. The company is now preparing unique products for roofing materials, cement, bricks, and tile.
