Agglomerate-free Suspended Slurry

Alumina Slurry is agglomerate-free, fully and permanently suspended slurry that is water soluble. Formulated with sub-micron alumina in a carrier enhances the alumina's polishing ability, the slurry provides an ultra-fine and flawless finish in a short time, according to the manufacturer.

After polishing, the slurry washes off of the workpiece with plain water or with water mixed with mild detergent. Slurry applications include electro-optic crystals, ferrite surfaces, fiber optics, infrared materials, laser crystals, metal mirrors, metallographic specimens, optical molds, plastic, precision instrumentation, and precision optics.

Consumers should use the slurry as they receive it. However, it may be diluted with deionized (DI) water. If diluted, users should gently agitate to form a fully suspended emulsion. The slurry is available in 1-gal containers.
