Corzan Industrial Systems, div. of BFGoodrichCR piping systems provide high-temperature performance and corrosive resistance in chemical processing and metal finishing operations. This is the first system in a patented series of high-temperature products and it is designed for steam condensate return and chemical drain line applications.

The system meets and exceeds performance specifications in the harsh metal finishing environment. In addition, this material is better suited to withstand high temperatures and corrosive conditions, according to its manufacturer. It has a heat distortion temperature of 230° F and is able to service a maximum temperature of 215° F up to 15 psig.

During the past 12 months, the pipe was tested at seven different companies in a variety of situations. In each test, the pipe exceeded specification levels and is still performing without incident. The testing companies reported carbon and stainless steel pipe needed to be repaired or replaced on average every three to four months, according to the manufacturer.
