American Access Technologies Adds Powder Coating to the Fore

We hear a lot about outsourcing these days but here's a company that made two acquisitions in order to keep their entire manufacturing operation in-house. American Access Technologies, Inc. (Lake Mary, FL) has begun operation of a new $700 million powder coating system. This is a different turn for this manufacturer of zone cabling units that mount in ceilings, raised floors and in customer furniture.
With its acquisitions of Genco (now called AATK Manufacturing) and Omega Metals, both Florida-based companies, American Access Technologies is now capable of offering a broader array of production services to businesses. The powder coating system has just completed a Genco-type generator enclosure and is set to coat 14 more.

The AATK (formerly Genco) generator enclosures are available in walk-in, skin-tight and rail-up configurations. They can be made of heavy-gauge steel, marine-grade aluminum alloys and stainless steel with either a mill finish or painted finish.
The Omega Metals acquisition brings the capability of providing precision sheet metal parts to businesses. Omega is capable of shearing, CNC punching, bending and milling, and mig, heliarc and other welding techniques for a variety of applications. They brought to the fold several finishing techniques such as aluminum conversion coating, spray painting and silkscreening. Now, American Access Technologies can provide powder coating as well.
With the addition of the new powder coating system, the company's revenues are expected to rise dramatically. "Already we have opened a revenue stream of $125,000 a month," said American Access president John Presley in a statement. They have realized $1,500,000 in orders to be completed over the next 12 months.
