A new class of low-oxide, binderless braze materials for environmentally attractive braze processes consist of nickel and cobalt base alloys in the form of ribbons and sheets. The manufacturer can apply the materials directly on the surface of a customer's application using its binderless-braze coating process.

These clean brazing processes are suitable for a variety of brazing applications, and according to the manufacturer, they can eliminate the contamination associated with powders and cements, powders and gels (i.e., pastes), and tapes. The manufacturer also states that the process is inherently clean and easy to apply, while exhibiting very good braze characteristics.

These binderless braze materials are available as thin flexible ribbons, thick sheets, or pre-applied coatings. All products are sold as weight deposits, such as grams per square inch.
