Cabinets for Finishing Operations

Empire Abrasive Equipment Combly ProFormer cabinets are designed to offer users mobility simple hookup. These cabinets require two connections, air and electrical, and include features offered in the manufacturer's high-production Pro-Finish line.

The unit includes a tunable media reclaimer capable of recycling a variety of abrasives and a cartridge-type dust collector monitored by a minihelic gauge. Both components are contained in the same enclosure as the cabinet, along with all electrical and pneumatic interconnections between components. Forklift slots are also provided, making this unit easy to move between workstations.

The dust collector filtration system is designed for easy maintenance. The manufacturer states that the filters, which slide into the cabinet where any loose dust falls into the cabinet, can be pulse-cleaned with the press of a button. When they have to be replaced, they can be changed quickly by twisting two nuts.

Designed for production blasting, these cabinets allow users to perform multiple tasks, including cleaning or peening and performing a finishing job in between by varying air pressure and blast media. These cabinets can be specified with either suction- or pressure-blast systems, as well as with a range of standard factory options.
