Canadian Accounting Software Survey Gives Top Spot to Navision Software Canada
Navision Software Canada, a leading provider of enterprise business solutions to middle-market businesses, including a surface coating supplier, announced that it was the overall winner in the 1999 Canadian Accounting Software Survey.
Navision Software gained superior marks for several of its software modules, such as general ledger, order entry and point of sale, as well as the company's technical support efforts.
"Analyzing the responses by module shows Navision Financials leading with a score of 4.59 (out of 5.0)," said Alan Salmon, Technology Editor, Bottom Line Newspaper. "And in the critical area of technical support, Navision Software was the overall leader."
The annual survey was sponsored by PMA Publishing, a subsidiary of Salmon & Associates. The results were compiled from nearly 2,000 Canadian accountants and consultants who are actively involved in evaluating, recommending, installing, training and supporting PC-based accounting systems throughout Canada. The actual surveys were distributed at the Microsoft "Accounting Technology to the Millenium" seminar series that visited 15 Canadian cities.
To appear in the final results, software packages had to receive at least 25 responses. Out of more than 40 entrants, which included Great Plains and ACCPAC, Navision Software was one of only 16 companies to meet the final criteria.
"This is a great win for Navision Software Canada and a clear statement that our customers, prospects and partners see Navision Software as a true leader in the Canadian marketplace," said John Macdonald, channel manager for Navision Software Canada. "The entire Navision channel is devoted to providing both a comprehensive product and superior service. Together we offer a complete solution, and this award is proof that we are doing what we set out to accomplish."
