Chemical stripping and masking cleaning service

Special Masking provides environmentally safe chemical stripping services to the metal finishing industry. Capable of working with such substrates as steel, aluminum, paint line fixtures, castings, automotive parts, industrial equipment and even furniture, the company can strip powder coatings (polyester, epoxy, acrylics, hybrids and polyurethanes) and liquid coatings (solvent, waterborne, high-solids, e-coats, and UV-cures) as well. This is done at a low operating temperature of 180°F.

In addition to its chemical stripping services, Special Masking also offers its SM-2000 safety mask cleaner. The biodegradable cleaner does not contain methylene chloride and, according to the company, extends the life of all silicone and metal masks. Based on the existing SM-6 formula, the SM-2000 cleaner can be used at room temperature or above.
