CleanTech 2000: Flow Through Blasting Systems

Viking CorporationSR-12 and SR-24 cylinder, pipe and rod blasters are capable of cleaning a wide variety of materials, ranging from fractional diameter wire to pipe or cylinders measuring up to 2 ft in diameter. The company's high-velocity airless hot blast wheels are available in several sizes for individual cleaning needs. The skew roll convey or system transports a cylinder, pipe, or rod through the blast chamber on precision-machined "V" groove parts rollers. Abrasive isolation vestibules buffer the workplace from "wild" abrasive and the system's dust evacuation systems keep the blasted material clean.

The SR-12 and SR-24 blasters are available with entrance and exit conveyors and a variety of other options as well as custom-engineered features depending on individual needs. The single blast wheel horsepower for the Model SR-12 is 15 and 25 for the SR-24.

Standard features on both models also include a skew roll conveyor through blast cabinet, variable-speed conveyor drives, a bucket-style abrasive elevator, an airwash abrasive separator, and a high-efficiency dust collection system.
