CleanTech 2000: Heat Cleaning Ovens

Baycoes medium-size ovens are designed for thermal cleaning of hydrocarbon-based materials coated on metallic parts. They provide easy cart loading without protruding cart tracks, saving floor space. In addition, clean combustion is assured with a two-stage controlled-air design. A burner in the oven base heats a sealed burnout chamber, and the temperature is limited by pyrometer control, which shuts off the burner and the air supply when the high setpoint is reached.

Fuel is conserved with the two-burner design. Additionally, the system allows parts to be stripped in one and a half to four-hour cycles of heat-up, soak at typical temperatures of 650°F to 750°F, and cool down. The company has also licensed an independent laboratory to prove that this system operates well below EPA emissions standards for heat cleaning ovens.
