Commercial Steel / Curtis Metal Finishingamily of coatings can enhance the corrosion characteristics of ferrous metals.

The coatings incorporate zinc flakes suspended in an organic binder and can provide resistance exceeding 400 hours consistently. The coatings are applied by the dip/spin method, are uniform in thickness, and provide consistent torque tension assembly characteristics.

The coatings can be applied to bolts, screws, nuts, tube fittings, and small stampings. They are also well suited for use in bimetallic joints where galvanic corrosion is a concern.

Specifications of the family of coatings include:

  • Dorrltone: GM 6111M - 400 hr. Available in silver.
  • Dorrlflake: GM 7111M - 240 hr; ESA-M21P5-A - 400 hr; WSD-M21P11-B2/S307 - 480 hr (Black); WSD-M21P11-B5/S410 - 120 hr (Silver); PS-7626 - 400 hrs. Available in silver. However, black organic topcoats can be used to provide a black color.
  • Dorrlmate: GM 7112M - 240 hr; WSD-M21P11-B4/S412 - 480 hr; WSD-M21P11-B6/S411 - 120 hr. Available in black zinc flake and uses organic topcoats to enhance assembly characteristics.
