Comprehensive Powder Coating Handbook Now Available

ALEXANDRIA, VA - Hot off the presses and available for purchase is the revised and expanded third edition of Powder Coating - The Complete Finisher's Handbook. This comprehensive text, published by The Powder Coating Institute in 2004, covers all aspects of setting up and running a powder coating operation.

This third edition contains many chapters completely rewritten and updated, a glossary of powder coating terms, an expanded troubleshooting guide, and nearly 500 pages of the latest information.

The handbook covers the latest information in powder materials, pretreatment, booth design, application equipment, powder application methods, conveyors, dry-off methods, curing, and troubleshooting - in short, the complete powder coating process.

PCI member personnel who are experts in all aspects of powder coating technology wrote the chapters. All PCI Technical Briefs and Test Procedures produced over the past 20 years are also included, as well as a case study and maintenance checklist.

Said PCI Executive Director Greg Bocchi, "This is the most comprehensive and complete book PCI has ever produced. Chapter contributors from the PCI membership spent a lot of time making sure the book incorporated information on the latest powder coating technology, and I thank them for their time and their expertise."

He continued, "This new edition of the PCI handbook will provide current and potential powder coaters with everything they need to know to set up, operate, and improve a successful powder coating operation."

The book is available for $95 plus $10 shipping in the United States. Those interested can contact the PCI Office at (703) 684-1770 for an order form or go the Publications & Materials section of the PCI web site at www.powdercoating.org.
