Now, from here on out, we must talk about specific products. Nova Finishing systems offers the following products using their part identification system. The following is our product description and characteristics when used in our equipment:

6A Abrasive deburring media
This is an organic blend of dry organic wood sawdust material and pumice. It has a binder that increases the adhesion of the pumice to the organic materials. The long fiber particles behave a lot like a buffing wheel; therefore, the surface finish produced has a good luster similar to a sand blasted finish but without the dimples. By itself, this is a slow process, requiring approximately 24 hours.

56A Abrasive debuning media
This is the same as above, except this is a 4:1 mix of porcelain to the dry organic blend above. Therefore, this mix is primarily an inorganic preform porcelain shape than it is organic compound. Processing results can be accomplished in at least half the time as 6A by itself.

6E & 6D Polishing media
This is an organic blend of dry organic (E) walnut shell (6D) corn cob impregnated with a polishing additive. The 6E walnut shell is used on almost all materials for polishing; however, 6D corn cob mix is used on softer metals of aluminum, brass, and pewter. Processing times are from 24 to 72 hours.

56E & 56D Polishing media
This is the same as above, except this is a 4:1 mix of porcelain to the dry organic blend above. Therefore, this mix is primarily an inorganic preform porcelain shape than it is organic compound. Processing results can be accomplished in at least half the time as 6E & 6D by itself.
