Eagle Roofing Products Florida LLC Soon To Complete New Manufacturing Plant

Orlando, FL - Eagle Roofing Products Florida LLC ("Eagle"), a subsidiary of Burlingame Industries, has announced that it will soon complete construction of its new Sumterville, Fla. concrete roof tile manufacturing facility in central Florida. The new plant will support the continued strong demand for concrete tile roofs in the Southeast and nationwide, according to Eagle.

Initially, the facility will have four production lines capable of producing 1.7 million squares of concrete tile a year, enough to cover 57,000 homes per year. The products produced by the new plant include Eagle's high, medium and low profile concrete tiles — similar to the products currently offered in other markets but with colors and blends appropriate to Florida and the Southeast. The soon to be available capacity will be a tremendous step forward to meet demand in a marketplace with a long history of product shortages, say the company sources.

The new central Florida facility is located on more than 50 acres of land. When it achieves peak utilization, it will be the largest tile manufacturing plant in the world, eclipsing Eagle's own Rialto, Calif. facility. The new plant measures 228,000 square feet and when at full capacity will employ at least 200 people.

When the facility becomes fully operational in the coming weeks, the total construction time will have been the shortest new build project from Burlingame Industries. For the speed of construction to date, Eagle credits the cooperation of the city, county and other local construction officials which have been integral in keeping the project on schedule.
