Electroplating Control System
More than one OI can be connected to a CS and vice versa. The first configuration allows for multiple monitoring or monitoring and control locations for supervisory or operations requirements. The latter configuration enables multiple plating systems to be monitored at a single site. In addition, the developer can create custom additions to the OI to control and monitor other plating line functions such as temperature and pH.
The system offers data logging as a custom feature with its software. This function automatically stores data accumulated during the plating operation. The data can later be downloaded to electronic spreadsheets for future analysis.
To prevent loss or corruption of data, the system also features UPS power monitoring and control. If AC power is interrupted, the system will sense the line loss or brownout, close the open files, close itself, shut down Windows, and disable the UPS output.
System requirements include: an SVGA monitor with a resolution of 800 × 600; a 233 MHz Pentium PC; 32Mb RAM; 4Mb Video RAM; 6Mb free hard drive space (additional space will be required for plating recipes and data logging storage); two RS-232 serial ports; and a 10/100 base T Ethernet port.
