Extend The Painting Season With Sherwin-Williams New FlexTemp With Extreme Temp Technology Exterior Coating

FlexTemp exterior paint adapts to temperature extremes down to 35°F and up to 120°F

Sherwin-Williams introduces FlexTemp Exterior Acrylic, an innovative coating with Extreme Temp Technology that can be applied in temperatures ranging from 35°F to 120°F. FlexTemp provides a long-lasting, smooth appearance and excellent adhesion without adjusting the application technique, giving painting and building professionals more flexibility with their schedules.

“The revolutionary FlexTemp coating features temperature adaptive properties that can withstand extreme temperature fluctuations, outperforming our standard conventional exterior paints,” said Rick Watson, director of product information and technical services at Sherwin-Williams. “As a result, FlexTemp gives professionals more flexibility under safe painting conditions to prevent costly weather delays and avoid productivity loss during hot and cold months.”

Key features of FlexTemp Exterior Acrylic include:

  • Temperature-Adaptive Technology: Extreme Temp Technology adapts to seasonal extremes, allowing professionals to paint when air, surface and material temperatures are as low as 35°F or up to 120°F without sacrificing performance.
  • Easy Application: The 100% acrylic formula allows for easy application for a smooth, uniform finish without the need to adjust application technique or add extenders due to temperature.
  • Durability & Performance: The new formula flexes with temperature fluctuations for excellent adhesion and long-term resistance to flaking, peeling and weather.
  • Comprehensive Colors & Finishes: Available in flat, satin and gloss sheens, the coating can be tinted in VinylSafe paint colors, allowing customers to select from a limited number of darker colors formulated to resist warping or buckling when applied to sound stable vinyl siding.
