Fischerscope MMS Coating Thickness Measuring Device
Interactive, menu-driven screens guide even inexperienced users through calibration and measurement procedures, data evaluation and storage, and results documentation. The operational steps of the Fischerscope MMS remain the same, regardless of what test method is used.
A parallel printer port allows data to be printed and a report generator enables custom reports to be rendered. The Fischerscope MMS can also be linked to a PC.
The MMS can also document, manage and evaluate data according to customer and quality system requirements; define control charts and evaluate measurement data using modern SPC/SQC methods; and organize collected measurement data. The instrument features a high contrast large area LCD display and a tactile feedback keyboard. The operator can handle all measurement, storage, evaluation, and documentation tasks through an interactive dialogue with the system. Operation is simple, easy to learn and uniform for all test methods. The system is ideal for automated measurement processes and monitoring of production.
As an additional feature, the MMS can be configured with Fischer's GCS Software that allows it to function as an SPC data management system for digital measurement instruments such as caliper and micrometer gauges – making it a data collection system as well as an analysis system. Several measurement instruments can be directly connected to the MMS. Statistical evaluation capabilities include outlier rejection, X bar, R- or X-bar s charts, Cp- and Cpk indices, cumulative probability distribution and histograms.
