Handheld Coating Thickness Measurement Instruments
The MP0D is available in three models, – the Isoscope® MP0D, Permascope®MP0D and Dualscope®MP0D. The Isoscope MP0D uses the eddy current method of measurement and is used to measure non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous metals and anodic coatings on aluminum. The Permascope MP0D uses the magnetic induction method and is used to measure non-ferrous metal coatings and non-conductive coatings on iron and steel. The Dualscope MP0D incorporates both measurement principles and is used to measure non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous metals as well as non-ferrous metal coatings and non-conductive coatings on iron and steel. It will automatically recognize the material to be measured and utilize the appropriate measurement method.
The MP0D family accurately displays coating thickness readings and their statistical evaluations. An integrated constant pressure probe allows easy one hand operation. The unit is capable of outputting data to a printer or computer.
The Dualscope®MP20 is a versatile solution for users who need to measure on ferrous and /or nonferrous substrates, when there is no need for copy documentation. These units allow the user to interchange a wide variety of Fischer Smart Probes for different applications. On its large, easy-to-read LCD display, the MP20 offers full statistical evaluation of measurement series; continuous measurement data display to quickly determine coating thickness distribution by means of a surface scan; simple calibration adjustments and five selectable display languages.
The Fischer MP30 unit is available in two models: The Deltascope®MP30 model measures all non-conductive and non-metallic coatings on iron and steel using the magnetic induction method; the Isoscope®MP30 model measures non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous base metals using the eddy current method. Each unit is capable of storing 10,000 individual measurements in 1000 blocks in up to 100 separate applications. Block size can be selected freely or fixed.
Using Fischer's Smart Probes, the MP40 with the ED10 Probe can automatically detect the base material and then apply the appropriate measurement method – either eddy current or magnetic induction. The pocket size unit also offers a choice of two data storage modes:
Storage capacity is up to 10,000 measurements, grouped in up to 1,000 blocks with dynamic storage allocation capability. One hundred application memories are available for storage of calibrations and related measurement data. All measurement and calibration data can be stored on a PC, and transferred back and forth from the MP40.
The new MP40 also features a unique and easy-to-read, 2.4" x 1.2" LCD display. The information packed display makes operation incomparably simple. Displayed information includes individual measurement data, measurement number, application number, block number, statistical data, Cp and Cpk, product specification limit violation, date, time, icons and symbols to indicate operation mode and settings, and two text lines for 16 alphanumeric or freely definable symbols per line to display data and operator prompts.
