KBF Pollution Management and R.M. Jones and Company Enter into Joint Venture

KBF Pollution Management, Inc. (Paterson, NJ) has entered into a joint venture with R.M. Jones and Co. Inc. (Bristol, CT) to form a jointly owned subsidiary of KBF that is focused on selling the company's recycling and other environmental services to the New England market. The joint venture subsidiary will also expand KBF's service and distribution businesses with the addition of new facilities and transportation capabilities. The company has targeted $15 million in sales in the next 24 months.

The new subsidiary will be capable of hazardous waste management, a highly trained hazardous waste sales force, experienced customer-service personnel, two new facilities and the aforementioned transportation capabilities. Offices will be maintained at KBF's Paterson, NJ, headquarters as well as a to-be-build facility and R.M. Jone's facilities in Connecticut and Massachusetts. According to KBF, the subsidiary will also provide distribution and logistical support for TSDonline, the company's environmental e-commerce website when it becomes operational in the second quarter of this year.

"While other hazardous waste companies are focuses on their internal problems, KBF and its joint venture subsidiary will remain focused on servicing its clients through innovative technologies and customer services with its patented technologies and the development of TSDonline," said James Green, KBF's senior vice president of sales. Green has been chosen to administer the joint venture and has been named president of the subsidiary. He will retain his current title and responsibilities at KBF as well. In addition, Green and Chris Jones, president and majority shareholder of R.M. Jones will become members of KBF's Board of Directors.

KBF's Paterson recycling and commodity manufacturing facility is where the company employs its patented Selective Separation Technology (SST) (for more information on SST and other resource recover technologies, click here. SST separates, removes and recovers metals from liquid and solid wastes as well as other production and manufacturing media. The recovered metals have been compared in quality to virgin ore material. The Paterson facility is designed for recycling up to 50,000 tons of solid waste and 15 million gallons of liquid waste annually. R.M. Jones' experience in chemical and hazardous waste management, treatment and transportation services will complement KBF's hazardous waste recycling capabilities.
