MAYA Metrix Announces Build!IT 2.1

Montreal, Canada – January 10, 2002 - MAYA Metrix, a world leader in CAD-to-part real-time inspection, reverse-engineering and metrology applications, today announced the launch of Metrix Build!IT 2.1, the latest edition of its industry leading software package. Metrix Build!IT enables 3D CAD part models to be effectively utilized on the shop floor for measuring and inspecting parts, verify dimensions and alignment of complex assemblies. Metrix Build!IT is used by designers, tool builders and inspectors at leading aerospace, automotive and manufacturers worldwide. By using Metrix Build!IT in place of 2D prints, digital designs are seamlessly linked to manufacturing. Metrix Build!IT introduces a new concept for tool building and routine inspection, which allows changes to the traditional manufacturing process. This application preserves the CAD link by bringing CAD models directly onto the shop floor.
