Nitrex Metal Technologies is unique in that it offers only one major service--Gas Nitriding. Its customized furnaces are computer-controlled using Nitrex Metal Inc's patented Nitreg technology, offering fully repeatable results. A variation on the Nitreg technology, called Nitreg-ONC, is considered a superior, environmentally-friendly alternative to chrome plating.

Nitrex Metal Technologies Inc. (NMT) is a joint venture company that was formed by H&S Heat Treating and Nitrex Metal Inc. with the purpose of providing premium surface engineering treatments to the metal industry. Incorporated in 1990, NMT now operates three facilities located in Burlington, Ontario; St. Laurent, Quebec; and our newest facility south of the border, in Mason, Michigan.

NMT services several major Canadian and US companies as a provider of superior controlled gas nitriding services. In the automotive and heavy transportation industry, NMT treats parts through subcontractors for Chrysler, Saturn, Caterpillar, and General Motors. We are recognized in the aerospace arena by Curtiss-Wright, Dowty, Rolls Royce, General Electric, Allied Signal, and Air Canada. NMT also provides service to the mining, gear manufacturing, tooling, and automotive component industry to companies such as Magna, Boart Longyear, Engel and TRW. Our skilled and experienced staff, consisting of Engineers, Metallurgists, Lab technicians and customer support personnel, enables the NMT facilities to provide the highest quality customer service.
