The environmentally-friendly, non-chrome aluminum conversion coatings offered by this company are based on a patented technology that has been in large scale, commercial production use since 1994. The manufacturer states that these systems can achieve corrosion performance equivalent to traditional chromate systems without the danger and concerns associated with chrome. This technology is easily adaptable as a drop-in process for current chromate lines, and it may be used in either spray or immersion applications. Automatic control via conductivity/pH meters is available. These products contain no heavy metals and will not create additional concerns in your waste treatment system.

The Alcoat 1000 application is a two-step treatment that is said to impart high quality corrosion resistance and paint adhesion for demanding applications that require paint treatment, as well as corrosion resistance for such items as evaporators and other heat transfer equipment. The treatment offers an additional no-rinse sealer for extra corrosion resistance and hydrophilicity.

The A-3000 J is a simple one-step treatment for high-volume applications such as coil coating lines. In addition, it can provide very good corrosion resistance and paint adhesion with an additional water-based polymer sealer that can be used as a single step, no-rinse process to impart the maximum corrosion resistance to the substrate.
