PPG To Display Graffiti-Resistant Coatings At METALCON 2014

New concept colors for DURANAR VARI-COOL coatings also to be highlighted

PPG Industries will display DURANAR GR (graffiti-resistant) and CORAFLON GR coatings and unveil several new concept colors for Duranar VARI-COOL coatings at METALCON International 2014 in Denver’s Colorado Convention Center, Oct. 1-3.

Visitors to PPG booth 1712 will find information about recently introduced Duranar GR and Coraflon GR coating systems, which are formulated with a graffiti-resistant clear barrier coating  over the pigmented color layer, enabling the removal of spray paint, lipstick, scuff marks, tape residue, bugs, tar and other substances with DURAPREP Prep 400 graffiti remover by PPG.

PPG will debut new concept colors for Duranar VARI-Cool coatings, which combine proprietary ULTRA-COOL infrared-reflective (IR-reflective) coating technology by PPG with special pigments that appear to shift color when viewed from different angles or in changing light conditions.

There also will be information about new Duranar ADS (air-dry system) coating. Designed for touching up fluoropolymer finishes on architectural metals, this newly formulated product is available in a wide range of solid, metallic and pearlescent colors. It is ideal for use on window frames, door frames, roofs and metal wall panels marred during fabrication or installation, and it can be specified to incorporate PPG’s IR-reflective pigments.

In addition to exhibiting products, PPG is offering METALCON visitors three daily opportunities to win an Apple iPad mini tablet. For contest details, visit booth 1712. For more information about PPG coatings, visit www.ppgideascapes.com.
