Precision Custom Coatings Acquires GlobeTec Incorporated

Totowa, NJ - Precision Custom Coatings LLC, a US-based producer and supplier of non-woven and coated fabrics for the apparel industry and industrial market applications has acquired certain net assets and operations of GlobeTec Incorporated, a needlepunch non-woven filtration products manufacturer based in North East, MD. GlobeTec Incorporated has been renamed Precision Textiles, a division of Precision Custom Coatings LLC. Terms were not disclosed.

One of the world's fastest growing interlinings manufacturers, Precision Custom Coatings acquired GlobeTec Incorporated as a key step in accelerating its growth, range of offerings and production output. The Company plans to convert the newly obtained production facilities from a one and one-half shift facility to a continually operating 24-hour-a-day mill, more than triple the facility's workforce, and double its production capacity.

"This is an exciting strategic transaction that provides Precision Custom Coatings with an enhanced ability to respond more rapidly to our customers' needs as we are able to reduce production lead-times, increase our manufacturing throughput and expand our range of products" said Scott Tesser, President of Precision Custom Coatings.

Precision Custom Coating's experience in producing high-quality products and continual development of new product offerings and innovations will ensure that the acquisition of GlobeTec Incorporated will launch Precision Custom Coatings to a new level of manufacturing capabilities. "Overall, the acquisition will increase our financial strength, further diversify our product portfolio, and accelerate our long-term growth," explained Mr. Tesser.

GlobeTec Incorporated is a manufacturer of bleeder and breather cloths used in vacuum bag curing of composites for the aerospace industry. The Company also provides a range of filtration and padding products for use in racing vehicles, air and liquid filtration, bedding, medical products, gaskets, major appliances, steel processing, vinyl, printing, and roofing substrates, electrical insulation, food packaging, footwear and more.
