Rust Preventive Concentrate
The concentrate is formulated with highly refined oil, sulfonates, surface-active agents, multiple rust preventives, and polar compounds. It forms a highly stable emulsion when diluted with water and is used either at ambient temperature or temperatures up to 160°F. The concentrate is applied by dipping, spraying, or brushing, and features a flash point of >266°F. This product protects metal surfaces with a thin, oily film that is effective in humid atmospheres. In addition, the concentrate is soluble in water, stoddard solvent, and mineral spirits. The rust preventive film can be removed using conventional alkaline metal cleaners, solvents, or vapor degreasing.
Users of the concentrate should dilute it with three to 10 parts water or with mineral spirits, or stoddard solvent. It is available in 5-gal pails, 55-gal drums, and Totes.
