Sames Corporation and JBI, L.P. Form Strategic Alliance for Powder Booth Distribution

Sames Corporation (Franklin Park, IL) has entered into a strategic alliance with JBI, L.P. (Osseco, WI), a manufacturer of paint spray booths. Under the agreement, JBI will now manufacture the Sames line of powder coating booth, which include the ProTouch and SoftTouch units. "We are very excited about the opportunity to be aligned with Sames, who we view as the technology leader for supplying powder coating equipment and systems," said Dan Burnard, executive vice president of JBI, in an announcement.

According to the agreement, JBI will provide the turnkey installation of the new Sames Customer Demonstration Facility in Livonia, MI. Scheduled to open in April, this facility will allow current and prospective customers to evaluate the performance capabilities of Sames liquid, electrostatic and powder coating equipment and systems.

Sames is hoping that the alliance with JBI will also support the growth of their distributor network in North America. Just two weeks ago Sames signed an agreement with Dove Equipment Company (East Peoria, IL), which is also a distributor for JBI, and will represent the full line of Sames electrostatic coating products in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Mexico. Dove was chosen because of its position as a leading industrial distributor in North America. "Their experience with liquid electrostatic and powder systems makes for an ideal partnership with Sames," said Bruce Bryan, vice president of Sames in a statement.
