The Unipower UP 12 is a self-contained, solid state transistorized power supply for hardening, tempering, bonding, coating, brazing, and other induction heating applications
The Unipower UP 12 is a self-contained, solid state transistorized power supply for hardening, tempering, bonding, coating, brazing, and other induction heating applications. A variety of single-turn and other low impedance heating coils can be properly matched with both built-in load tuning capacitors and an optional multi-tap output isolation transformer. In addition, an optional external tap switch allows the operator to change the transformer ratio without tools.

Operators can begin heating with this device by connecting three-phase 460 V input power, cooling water, and heating water. The cabinets are designed to accommodate a variety of fixture, conveyors, and part handling machines. Complete stand-alone control and monitoring include: manual start/stop buttons, heat level control with 10-turn lockable dial, and four meters and annunciator lights to monitor all operating parameters.

Features of the power supply also include 3, 10, and 30 kHz frequency with output power ratings of 25kW through 200kW, and a digital heat timer with a range of 0 to 99.9 sec.

Operators can control the power supply remotely by connecting to the user interface provided, and an optional RS-232/485 interface is available for remote computer monitoring, data logging and control.
