Steelcote Introduces 100% Solids Epoxy Crack Filler & Surfacer
St. Louis, MO - The Steelcote Division of Chemline Incorporated introduced a new epoxy filler/surface for filling and sealing porous or damaged concrete or other masonry surfaces called Floor Nu Gel. This is a 100% solids, zero VOC (volatile organic content), 1:1 mix ratio epoxy dries within eight hours to form a hard, chemical resistant surface for overcoating with polyurethane, polyurea or epoxy coatings. This information is according to John Henningsen, spokesperson for the manufacturer.
When encountering a concrete floor (or wall) with crack, spalls or damage up to %z" (1.25cm) deep, Steelcote offers a quick and convenient repair system that starts with Floor Nu Gel. "To repair a heavily eroded floor, contractors use Floor Nu Gel and our epoxy coating: Floor Nu Finish'. To provide anti-slip properties, you can also add Epo-Trac, a proprietary anti-slip aggregate. This composite offers a great alternative to replacing damaged concrete floors and walls." Commented Mr. Henningsen.
The low odor, thick material will help reduce outgassing problems. Floor Nu Gel is easily applied by squeegee or trowel and it will resist sagging and dripping on vertical surfaces
