Structural Enhancement Technologies Enters License And Development Agreement With EcoActive Surfaces Inc. For Use Of OxiTitan In Its Products

Deer Park, NY (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Structural Enhancement Technologies Corp. (OTCBB:EMWW) announced that it has entered into a License and Development Agreement with EcoActive Surfaces, Inc., of Pompano Beach, Florida. The agreement provides for the licensing and development of EcoActive Surfaces' OxiTitan coating, which Structural Enhancement Technologies Corp. will market as "Extreme Protect" with OxiTitan by EcoActive Surfaces, Inc. The company is establishing a national franchise program to promote the new product, which will be used in the anti-microbial coatings provided by Extreme Mobile Coatings, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Structural Enhancement Technologies. The new coating will join Extreme Mobile Coatings' existing line of state-of-the-art nano silver liquid and nano silver plastic anti-microbial protective coatings.

Andrew Mazzone, president of Structural Enhancement Technologies Corp., stated, "Current attempts at maintaining sanitary conditions can only go so far. Extreme Protect will be a game-changer in the battle against potentially lethal infection-causing microbes. The coating will be of profound benefit to fast food services, hospitals, hotels, etc."

Effective against some of the most dangerous pathogens such as multiply resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and e-coli, Extreme Protect will be a boon to hospitals and health-care facilities, which have in recent years been plagued by the spread of infections. More than 15,000 people die annually as a result of contracting these infections while in health-care facilities. The cost of treating the more than 500,000 patients who are affected annually exceeds $600 million.

Extreme Protect continuously oxidizes pathogens while simultaneously protecting the substrate again corrosion, eliminating odors, and reducing VOCs in the air. The coating, which contains small particles of the same minerals used in the safest sunscreens, electrostatically traps and then deactivates the proteins essential to viruses and bacteria. It is activated by natural light as well as incandescent, fluorescent, halogen, and LED lighting. Safe and ecologically friendly, the durable transparent coating is applied on site and can be used on new or existing surfaces and textiles, including upholstery.

Franchisees of Extreme Mobile Coating, Inc. will have the opportunity to apply Extreme Protect on site at businesses including health-care centers, spas and fitness centers, school cafeterias and restrooms. All training and equipment necessary to get started—including recommended safety equipment, marketing materials, and small business software—is provided.
