UCAR Emulsion Systems Announces Price Increases For Traffic Paint Latex Products

CARY, N.C. — UCAR Emulsion Systems, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, is increasing the off-list prices of its emulsion products for traffic paint applications.

Effective February 1, 2005, for all North American customers, UES will increase prices of all traffic paint latex products by $0.06 / wet pound.

These increases come as a result of increasing raw material, energy, transportation and compliance costs.

The UCAR Emulsion Systems business manufactures and markets emulsions for architectural and industrial coatings as well as for building products, textiles, traffic paint and adhesives. UCAR™ and NEOCAR™ latexes, and UCAR POLYPHOBE™ rheology modifiers can be formulated into a wide variety of products to enhance performance properties. UES operates at 13 production facilities globally, including five operating in North America.
