In cases where particulate contaminants collect on pump sleeves, it can be time-consuming to continually clean the sleeves to ensure proper pump flow. The AF Series filters can be backwashed, manually or automatically, in less than 10 minutes. They feature a built-in purge system that sends solution in the chamber back to the process tank prior to the backwash cycle. A patented diverting valve directs a cleansing flow of air and water through each of the filtration sleeves. The collected contamination is discharged directly to waste treatment, without operator or environmental exposure.
The AF Series is available with permanent filtration sleeves in a wide range of micron ratings and fabrics. In addition, they are available with high-temperature CPVC construction, PVDF pumps and Viton® elastomers.
