Water Circulation Heater System

The Model CMX microTHERM is a water circulation heater system that is well suited for mold temperature control and general industrial applications, such as vessel jackets, tank, and platen heating. The fully customizable line employs the manufacturer's flanged immersion heaters with corrosion-resistant Incoloy sheath heating elements, providing heat input up to 24kW. A digital controller provides precise, reliable water temperatures from 50° to 250°F. Open and closed loop control options are available.

The system is designed to reduce maintenance and downtime. For example, the system's custom-cast twin tank and pump assembly is said to eliminate 80% of unnecessary piping connections, a common source of leakage problems. The system also features pump seals made with stainless steel, carbon, and elastomeric materials that provide quality performance with high temperatures and pressures. The unit's seal flush line prolongs seal life even more by removing heat of friction from component rotation.

The system's float-style air bleed feature allows air to be continuously purged, avoiding air accumulation in the water lines that could reduce pump flow. Its "no tools" removable panels provide easy access to all service components. In addition, removing only 4 bolts can disassemble any major component on the machine.

The machine also features a microprocessor-based digital control system that is shipped pre-programmed. Dual pressure gages monitor both "to process" and "from process" pressures for consistent quality control. Other diagnostic indicators can help avoid maintenance and operational problems by allowing early detection of low pressure, pump overload, and over-temperature conditions.
